Volunteer stories can also increase your community profile, and provide compelling reasons for donors and funders to contribute to your organization. Take away tools to help you start creating a bank of volunteer stories.

Stephanie Moore, Project Coordinator, KCR Community ResourcesStephanie Moore has worked in the Non-profit sector since 2001. Her career has included project coordination, business development, fitness, recreation, wellness, cultural services, tourism, fundraising, and non-profit development. This path has provided the experience of working alongside volunteers, supervising volunteers and reporting to volunteer boards and committees. Stephanie also enjoys giving back to the community and has volunteered her time to various local boards, committees, and fundraising events. Stephanie believes that matching the right volunteer to the right opportunity creates a positive and energized environment that is mutually beneficial.

She has been the Marketing and Events Manager at United Way CSO for the last 3+ years where she is very involved in volunteer recruitment and manages digital media events, volunteers, and interns along with the communications strategy. Marianne will share some hands-on findings and best practices while working with non-profit staff, volunteers and social media.
