KCR – Community Resources is pleased to present Legal 101: A Free Information Series for Immigrants in partnership with the Law Foundation of BC. The series, dealing with issues of Canadian Law and Immigration, offers valuable information for both immigrants and family members sponsoring others to come to Canada.
This session will be very important to Permanent Residents who need to understand their rights and obligations in Canadian Law and what could happen to their immigration status and citizenship application in case they are charged with, or convicted of a criminal offense. The session will cover different levels of criminal charges, including both provincial and federal laws.
This session is offered with an Arabic interpreter
This session will help you understand your rights and what is required to file a small claims action. Lawyer Justin Dalton will provide a case scenario and walk participants through the process from start to finish. Immigration Lawyer Sandra Hakanson will address any immigration issues that could arise from this process.
