KCR Community Resources in conjunction with the Central Okanagan Local Immigration Partnership present IGNITE Okanagan, rethink employment, an Employment Summit for the Central Okanagan. Employers, community members, and service providers are invited to IGNITE at no charge.

Canada’s changing demographics are impacting businesses throughout the Central Okanagan and across Canada. With shrinking workforces due to ageing demographics, immigrant and newcomer populations have become an essential force to offset growing labour market needs. As the Central Okanagan has become the fastest-growing region in British Columbia, employers must adapt to the changing demographics and community needs. Newcomer populations are becoming integral in communities as a labour market and consumer base. With this, employers have an opportunity to tap into a skilled workforce, engage with emerging markets and meet the Central Okanagan’s growing economic needs.

IGNITE is excited to host employers, community members, and service providers in dynamic conversations about the Okanagan’s changing economy, growing labour needs, and opportunities of engagement in emerging labour markets. IGNITE will feature keynote speakers and service providers to bridge knowledge and cultivate strategies to address the Central Okanagan’s changing economic and employment needs.
