Sponsor a Family Christmas Program

The Sponsor a Family Program at KCR – Community Resources matches generous community sponsors with families experiencing a time of need. Our goal is to facilitate relationships that create holiday joy in our community.

Sponsor a Family Program
A single mom shares her gratitude for our Sponsor a Family Program:
“Tears of gratitude flowing all morning for this single mom! So thankful for my community! This tree was empty before their generosity!”

Who can sponsor?
Sponsors can be individuals, groups, families, businesses, or organizations with the desire to give back. It’s a really fun way to experience the season of giving and an opportunity to see the world from another perspective.

What can I expect as a sponsor?
Sponsors are matched with a family (size is based on request and budget) and provided with a family profile, including first names, personal preferences, wishes and needs. Then comes the fun part! Sponsors take the family’s wish list and go shopping! Once the gifts are purchased, we ask sponsors to wrap and label the gifts. In addition to gifts, we ask sponsors to provide grocery gift cards, so families can purchase items needed for their holiday meal. Grocery gift cards allow families the freedom and dignity to shop for their food preferences and needs. Finally, sponsors deliver the completed holiday hamper to KCR – Community Resources and we ensure confidential delivery to the family. You will receive a personal thank you card from your sponsored family.

How do I sponsor?

Can I donate instead?
Absolutely! We accept cash donations and these funds will be used to sponsor families.
