KCR Community Resources began as Kelowna Community Resources in 1983 and has been Building Community in Kelowna and surrounding area for over 40 years as an incorporated Society and a Registered Charity.  We currently serve the Central Okanagan Regional District area, including Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland and West Kelowna. Some of our programs extend into the Thompson Okanagan region, into the Fraser Valley and other areas of British Columbia and we respectfully acknowledge all of the Indigenous people on whose territories we live and do this work.  

KCR’s mission is to foster diversity, collaboration and resourcefulness by tailoring services to meet community, family and individual needs. With a participant-centred approach, and a values and equity-based lens, we offer programs through four departments: Immigrant Services, Employment Services, Community Services and Family & Adoption Services.  

We work closely with individuals, voluntary organizations, not for profit societies, registered charities, businesses and governmental bodies to address gaps and to meet emergent needs. We can only do this work with the support of funding partners that include Government, Foundations, Corporations and Private Donors.
