Wise & Well – Calling all Volunteers!

Wise & Well is a project led by CMHA and partnered with 5 community organizations, with a grant received from Community Action Initiative. This project promotes mental health and wellness for older adults through enhanced capacity in individuals and organizations to reach out to older adults to prevent loneliness, potential isolation, or mental health issues.

Wise & Well Outreach Volunteers visit with older adults who are vulnerable to mental health issues. The purpose of the visits is to provide older adults with social connection, resources, and connection to the community in a way that is safe and meaningful for the long-term. Volunteers that have been screened and trained will be matched with older adults, either one on one or possibly in a small group, whom they will visit 1.5-2 hours/week for 6 months or longer.
