The Adoption Centre is a program of Kelowna Community Resources, a registered, non-profit society located in Kelowna, BC. The Centre was created after changes made to the Adoption Act by the British Columbia Provincial Government in 1996. Under the provisions of the new Act, private agencies like KCR can provide adoption services to individuals.

Note: our services are only available to residents of British Columbia and Alberta (if adopting from Haiti)

The Adoption Centre of British Columbia is not a government agency, and receives no funding from the taxpayer; we rely on a fee-for-service to ensure we meet all the responsibilities required under the Adoption Act. Our fee schedule has been approved by the provincial government.
