What is the Community Information & Volunteer Centre?

We act as the gateway to community information and volunteer opportunities from Lake Country to Peachland by:

• Maintaining ‘first stop’ computer access to region-wide information about community groups, government programs and health services as well as the volunteer opportunities they offer
• Answering telephone and email questions from people who need resources or want to volunteer their time
• Partnering with organizations that need publications prepared
• Submitting a regular newspaper column to promote volunteerism
• Preparing a monthly bulletin to inform not-for-profit agencies about current information
• Organizing training sessions about volunteer management and other timely topics
• Providing leadership in organizing the annual Okanagan Volunteer Opportunities Fair
