Because we work throughout BC and it’s not always practical for you to make trips in to the agency, we spend a lot of time on the phone with you. For this reason, we think it’s important to include pictures and short descriptions of who we are so that you know who you’re talking to.

 

Jennifer Wall, MSW RSW
Jennifer is the Administrator of The Adoption Centre of British Columbia. Jennifer spends most of her time talking with families throughout BC either by phone or email and answering questions. However, she enjoys meeting you in person whenever possible! Jennifer has worked with our agency for the last several years and has gained experience in all aspects of adoption. Prior to this, she worked in the field of adoption with the Ministry of Children and Family Development for several years. She facilitates Adoptive Parent Education Programs for the Ministry. In her ‘spare’ time, she enjoys scrap booking, writing, genealogy, and travel.

 

Marni King, BSW, RSW
Marni has been with Kelowna Community Resources for over 10 years and with The Adoption Centre of British Columbia since it opened its doors in 1996! Needless to say, Marni is an expert in Domestic and Inter-Country adoptions. She is currently working on a part time basis as she is also a full time mom! We enjoy Marni’s calm demeanor and her innovative spirit! The insights that she is able to bring into situations is truly admirable and many of our previous adoptive parents and birth parents have benefited from her compassion and knowledge!

 

Deanna Notte, BSW RSW
Deanna has been working with Kelowna Community Resources for over 17 years in a variety of positions focusing in on services such as Crisis line, Supervised Access visits, and Family Friend Program to name a few. While her experience with adoption has not been in a direct role until now, she’s been involved in understanding the unique issues and advocating for adoption services throughout the community since the inception of the Adoption Centre of British Columbia. We are now thrilled to have her join our team to lend her passion and experience for the direct benefit of our adoptive parents. Deanna works part time and when not in the office enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids and two dogs!

 

Marlene Procter
Marlene is a person with a lovely welcoming and reassuring voice which you will hear on the other end of the phone when you call. Most people find that they look forward to calling again just to hear her cheerful voice. She is the organizational backbone of The Adoption Centre and specializes in providing general information, registration, and all Adoption Centre of BC specific paperwork.
